commercial and hand dyed cottons

© 2003

This quilt came about after completing my Masters degree in Education Leadership at the University of San Diego. This was a two year hiatus from my passion – making art quilts. I went through big changes in my life, both professionally and personally. This quilt represents “change”and the flow of life. Enter the doorway with its ever changing hand-dyed palette of greens to its flowing shapes and textured circles. The circles represent the evolution of of our many selves, flowing from one phase to the next. Currently this quilt is on tour with Manitoba Arts Network's show "Breaking Tradition:an exhibition of contemprary art quilts" resulting from a selection when in the Mennonite Heritage Centre Gallery's , "Altered Shapes Exhibit".
